Amanda is a Senior Lecturer at Leeds Beckett University and a Liverpool based Architect who has been practicing in the city since 2001.

BA (Hons) Interior Architecture and Design Current research work focuses on the design of sensory spaces for young people with autism, and has stemmed from an interest in how specific sensory environments can help to enable children with autism to access learning more effectively.
She is working in collaboration with fellow Design Lecturer, Joan Love, who has a detailed and working knowledge of the needs of young people with Autism.
Collaborating with artists and craftsmen is central to the development of her own work and she is currently working with a team of artists to generate ceramic building components which culminated in the exhibition "Illuminating through Ceramics" which opened in Liverpool in February 2013.
The exhibition realised the research proposals of the MArch post graduate students at Liverpool University, and has generated a body of physical sculptural components which will be tested through a number of lighting and environmental performance experiments.
